Job summary

Cashman Equipment Co. in the United States seeks an in-field Heavy Equipment Technician to repair, recondition, and service Caterpillar and Empire-line machines on customer sites.

You will prepare equipment for delivery and diagnose malfunctions in the field, even in adverse weather. The role requires at least six months of related experience, English fluency, a valid driver’s license, and owning your tools.

Qualifications

• Six months of related experience in a similar role and environment.
• Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend English.
• Safety is a priority in the work environment.
• Must successfully complete a skills assessment (eTRAIN test).
• Own and maintain required personal tools.
• Strongly preferred: five years of heavy equipment technician experience, preferably in a dealership environment.

Responsibilities

• Repair, recondition, and service Caterpillar and other Empire line allied machines, systems, and components in the field.
• Prepare equipment for delivery.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions and failures of machine and engine systems and their components.
• Work in adverse weather conditions as needed.
• Accept all out-of-town assignments requiring extended overnight stays.
• Communicate orally and in writing.

EXPERIENCE:

Required:
