Job summary

Titan America is seeking a skilled Mining Engineer in Medley, FL to support mining operations across cement and aggregate divisions. You will contribute to mine planning, geological modeling, reserve estimation, and capital project development, collaborating with operations, engineering, and environmental teams to optimize safety and performance.

Ideal candidates have a B.S. in Mining Engineering, 5+ years in industrial minerals, and proficiency in Vulcan, Carlson, AutoCAD, and GIS.

Qualifications

• B.S. Degree in Mining Engineering or related discipline.
• EIT certification preferred; PE license is a plus.
• 5+ years experience as a Mining Engineer in industrial minerals (aggregates/cement preferred).
• Experience supporting mining capital projects through scoping to construction phases.
• Proficiency with mine planning and geological modeling software (Vulcan, Carlson, AutoCAD).
• Knowledge of surface mining methods (dragline, drilling/blasting, haulage).
• Experience with AggFlow or similar software is a plus.
• GPS surveying and GIS systems experience.
• FAA Part 107 Drone License, or ability to obtain preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong communication and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with feasibility studies and technical evaluations of potential mining sites.
• Manage and support capital projects from concept through implementation.
• Provide input for project budgets, schedules, site investigations, drilling, and reserve evaluations.
• Support mobile equipment fleet planning and optimization.
• Assist decarbonization and sustainability initiatives, including grant projects.
• Develop mid- and long-range mine plans for cement and aggregate operations.
• Support short-term mine planning, production scheduling, and optimization.
• Coordinate exploration and core drilling programs and geological data analysis.
• Review mine development activities and optimize plans and resource use.
• Oversee annual reclamation planning and environmental stewardship.
• Monitor regulatory developments and maintain compliance.
• Conduct drone surveys and develop maps and KPI reports.
