Job summary

Hazenand Mercer County seeks a skilled electrician to repair electrical mining equipment and facilities on-site. You will inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain high voltage systems, reading manuals and wiring diagrams to ensure safe operation on site.

Requirements include an associate degree or equivalent experience, knowledge of the National Electric Code and MSHA regulations, and ability to work with PLCs and VFDs. MSHA certification preferred.

Qualifications

• An associate’s degree in electrical and/or equivalent experience is required.
• MSHA Green Card certification or ability to obtain a certification is preferred.
• Knowledge of National Electric Code and MSHA regulations.
• Knowledge of PLCs and Variable Frequency Drives.

Responsibilities

• Repair electrical mining equipment and facilities.
• Read and understand parts books and manuals and use basic electrical test instruments.
• Maintain and repair low, medium, and high voltage electric systems safely.
• Perform troubleshooting on AC and DC circuits.
