The role focuses on safe, reliable electrical systems, including power generation, distribution, and heavy machinery controls, with on-site responsibilities in remote mining locations.

The successful candidate will maintain and improve electrical infrastructure, diagnose complex issues, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer, with a significant focus on the mining industry.
• Strong knowledge of high-voltage systems, mining electrical equipment, and associated safety protocols.
• Experience with SCADA systems and industrial automation in a mining context.
• Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic techniques.
• Valid driver's license and ability to work on-site in remote mining locations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the design, installation, and maintenance of electrical systems in mining operations.
• Ensure the safe and efficient operation of electrical equipment, including generators, transformers, motors, and control systems.
• Conduct electrical hazard assessments and implement mitigation strategies to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Troubleshoot and repair complex electrical faults in challenging mining environments.
• Manage electrical maintenance programs and optimize system performance for productivity.
• Collaborate with mining operations, mechanical engineers, and safety officers in East London.
