Job summary

Komatsu America Corp. is seeking a Mining Applications Engineering Intern to assist the MAE team with equipment selection, production estimates, cycle time studies, and NPD/CI project support.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or advanced degree in Mining Engineering preferred.
• Rising Junior or Senior in good academic standing.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and data analysis tools.
• Familiar with mining equipment and surface mining operations.

Responsibilities

• Support analysis for drills, draglines, loaders and shovels for mining operations.
• Develop equipment selection and production estimates for mining applications.
• Track production rates and maintain a database of customer rates.
• Create TCO models and mining justification analyses.
• Assist in NPD and CI project studies and present results.
