Job summary

Navy Exchange Service Command (NMC Portsmouth) is seeking a Sales Associate for the Mini Mart. You will sell general merchandise, provide outstanding customer service, and support the Food & Beverage Bar operations, including opening/closing, display setup, replenishment, and cleaning.

You will work as part of a sales team to exceed customer expectations, process transactions, and assist with product knowledge and store policies. High school diploma preferred; no experience required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• No previous experience required.
• Customer-focused selling and teamwork are essential.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist in merchandise selection with upsell recommendations.
• Process sales transactions accurately using the cash register/POS system.
• Open/close the Minimart and assist with Food & Beverage Bar operations as assigned.
• Maintain stocked, neatly displayed merchandise and monitor stock levels.
• Follow store policies and participate in inventory and pricing activities.
• Provide courteous customer service and help deter theft.
