Job summary

Viper Energy, Inc. in Midland, Texas, is seeking a Business Development Landman Intern to lead an assigned summer project focused on mineral and royalty acquisitions.

You will work with a mentor to evaluate ownership, conduct title research, and review agreements to support deal diligence. The role includes research of leases and conveyances, preparation of offers, and involvement in negotiations and field visits to understand activities in the Permian Basin.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree or higher in Energy Management/Energy Commerce, Finance, or a related business discipline.
• Strong interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills.
• Must be willing to work in Midland, TX for the duration of the internship.
• Must be returning to school for Fall 2027 semester.

Responsibilities

• Own an assigned summer project in mineral and royalty acquisitions and diligence.
• Research leases, deeds, conveyances, and purchase agreements to determine ownership and value.
• Assist in negotiations with mineral and royalty owners and prepare offers/letters of intent.
• Support title curative and due diligence on pending transactions.
