Peabody Energy, Inc. is seeking a Surface Miner to join the Surface Team at Twentymile Mine in Oak Creek, CO. The role covers operating the washplant and surface equipment, loading trucks and trains, and performing equipment walk-arounds with strong emphasis on housekeeping and safety.

The position is full-time and safety-sensitive, with 12-hour rotating shifts. Candidates should have a general maintenance background, welding/cutting skills, electrical knowledge, and wash plant experience, plus

• Supply all equipment with appropriate lubrication and fluid levels
• Assure good housekeeping throughout all surface areas. (Machinery, buildings, pumphouses, and surface mobile equipment etc.)

About the role:

We are currently seeking aSurface Minerto join our Surface Team at our Twentymile Mine location. The HourlyRange for this position is between $39.63 and $42.52 depending on experience.

Reporting to the Surface Leadman. The scope of your role will be to Perform all necessary work on the surface including operating the washplant, surface equipment, loading of trucks and trains.

• Operation of all surface equipment such as front-end loader, dozer, bobcat, tipple equipment, loadout facility, etc.

Physical requirements:

• Must have the ability to stand for up to 4 hours per shift
• Must have the ability to be seated for up to 4 hours to operate equipment or vehicles
• Must have the ability to work from elevated positions, walk/climb up and down stairs/steps and climb on/off equipment and ladders
• Must have the ability to wear required protective footwear, hearing and eye protection, and other personal protective equipment as required by Company and MSHA
• Must have the ability to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions (push, pull, twist, handle), and have rapid reflex movements of the arms/legs and good hand to eye coordination
• Must have the ability to lift/raise 80 lbs. without mechanical assistance frequently during the work shift
• Must have the ability to work in extreme conditions, including but not limited to changing weather conditions, dust, mud, varying levels of noise from low to high decibels, varying degrees of light/dark, in and around artificial light, and in a confined work area
• Must have the ability to work various shifts (required shifts include days, evening and nights, with rotating schedules, weekends and holidays)
