Peabody Energy is hiring a Longwall Miner for the Twentymile Mine in Oak Creek, CO. The role supports the information Longwall Team, performing duties to sustain production, including cribbing, pack wall seals, roof control, and housekeeping.

The position is safety sensitive with MSHA PPE requirements and room for skill development. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and mining experience preferred.

About the role:

We are currently seeking aLongwall Minerto join our Information Longwall Team at our Twentymile Mine location. The Hourly Range for this position is between $ 39.63-44.67 depending on experience.

Reporting to the Longwall Foreman. The scope of your role will be Perform all necessary work to support LW production to include cribbing, pack wall seals, roof control, LW prep, and assure good housekeeping in the section. This role offers a great opportunity for growth and to expand knowledge and skills.

• Building pack walls and cribbing
• Dusting
• Welding
• Roof Control

About you:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Mining Experience Preferred

Physical requirements:

• Must have the ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.
• Must have the ability to be seated for up to 4 hours to operate equipment or vehicles.
• Must have the ability to work from elevated positions, walk/climb up and down stairs/steps and climb on and off equipment and ladders.
• Must have the ability to lift/raise up to 80 lbs. without mechanical assistance frequently during the course of work shift.
• Must have the ability to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions (push, pull, twist, handle), and have rapid reflex movements of the arms and legs and good hand to eye coordination.
• Must have the ability to work in extreme conditions, including but not limited to changing weather conditions, heat, cold, dust, mud, varying levels of noise from low to high, varying degrees of light and dark, in and around artificial light and in a confined work area.
• Must have the ability to wear required protective footwear, hearing and eye protection, and other personal protective equipment as required by Company and MSHA.
• NOTE: This is a "safety sensitive role". Individuals in safety sensitive roles cannot have:
  • an uncontrolled condition which is likely to cause loss of consciousness or ability to control a motor vehicle or other large machinery;
