Tata Consultancy Services is seeking an experienced Minecraft server developer in Bellevue, WA. The role focuses on Java/C++ development, creating high-performance plugins, and cross-platform Bedrock integration for console, mobile, and PC clients.

The candidate will optimize performance, architect robust data pipelines, and mentor junior developers while adhering to code-review standards. A strong portfolio demonstrating work in game development is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of active professional experience in Java/C++/Minecraft server development.
• Deep understanding of Java, OOP, concurrency, and async programming.
• Extensive experience with NMS obfuscation and packet-level development.
• CI/CD pipelines using Gradle or Maven.
• Portfolio or live server network demonstrating work in game development.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement high-performance Minecraft server plugins using Spigot, Paper, and Purpur APIs.
• Optimize server performance, memory usage, and garbage collection for large player counts.
• Develop Bedrock Edition add-ons and scripting using Bedrock APIs.
• Utilize Bedrock Dedicated Server APIs or proxies like Geyser/Floodgate.
• Build data pipelines with MySQL/PostgreSQL/Redis and deploy/monitor server infrastructure (Docker, Pterodactyl, AWS/GCP).
• Mentor junior developers and enforce code-review standards via Git/GitHub.
