Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan in Bagdad, Arizona, seeks a skilled Mine Operations worker to support shovel moves, dewatering and related tasks in a safety‑driven environment.

You will lay and pick up power cables, plan shovel moves, operate cable and boom trucks, set up dewatering systems, and train others while maintaining a strong safety record. The role requires the ability to work rotating shifts in a 24/7 operation, read maps, and communicate effectively with supervisors and teams.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in Mine Operations or related Industrial Operations/Maintenance with heavy equipment and shovels
• Effective written and verbal communication to satisfy safety and training policies
• Able to communicate with Supervisors and other departments and work with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

• Lay and pick up power cables
• Plan and execute shovel moves
• Safely operate cable and boom trucks
• Set up and maintain dewatering systems
• Perform HDPE pipe fusing
• Assist in mine support activities as necessary
• Train and mentor other employees
• Perform other duties as required
