Mississippi Lignite MiningCompany, LLC is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to perform scheduled maintenance and ensure reliable operation of heavy mining equipment on-site.

You will diagnose malfunctions using electronic tools, read blueprints and service manuals, replace parts, and rebuild components as needed, while strictly following MSHA safety rules and environmental regulations. Rotation of shifts and on-site travel are required.

Qualifications

• Background in repair and maintenance of heavy equipment including ability to read, understand and use electronic diagnostic tools, prints and manuals.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems (engine, transmission, drivetrain, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical) and air conditioning.
• Skill in diagnosing malfunctions.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsabilités

• Perform scheduled maintenance (oil changes, greasing, part replacements).
• Troubleshoot/diagnose malfunctions using diagnostic tools and replace parts as needed.
• Dismantle and reassemble equipment with hoists and hand tools.
• Read blueprints and service manuals for repairs and rebuilds.
• Maintain cost records via work orders and requisitions.
• Operate light vehicles on site and test equipment after repairs.
• Adhere to MSHA safety procedures and environmental regulations.
• Rotating shifts; 50% inside and 50% outside in all weather.
