Job summary

A financial services firm is seeking an experienced Controller in Gouverneur, NY. This fully on-site role requires oversight of all accounting functions and financial reporting for a mining operation. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in a similar role, proficiency in Excel and QuickBooks, and a strong understanding of ERP systems and compliance. Competitive compensation around $120,000 with bonuses and relocation assistance offered. A CPA is preferred, but not required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a financial leader, public company experience preferred.
• Expert in Excel and QuickBooks.
• Experience with construction project management and FP&A.
• Knowledge of IFRS accounting regulations and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead all mine site accounting and financial reporting functions.
• Manage budgeting and forecasting (P&L, balance sheet).
• Ensure accuracy of inventory and oversees cycle counting.
• Assist with internal and external audits.
