Job description

The Controller will own the mine site’s accounting and financial operations end-to‑end. This is a hands‑on, fully on‑site leadership role reporting to the Director of Finance, Procurement & IT. The role includes full financial oversight, ERP implementation leadership, FP&A ownership, and operational partnership with site leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all accounting and financial reporting functions
• Own month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close
• Full FP&A ownership: budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, headcount)
• Cost accounting and inventory cycle count oversight
• Capital project tracking and fixed asset capitalization
• Financial statements, compliance, and regulatory reporting
• Support internal/external audits and implement corrective actions
• Lead ERP system selection and implementation
• Ensure internal controls and SOX compliance
• Partner with operations and corporate leadership

MUST HAVE Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years experience as a financial leader (public company experience preferred)
• Advanced Excel expertise (true hands‑on capability)
• FP&A ownership experience (budgeting, forecasting, analytics)
• Construction project accounting experience
• Experience with agile/lean practices
• ERP selection and implementation experience in mining, industrial, or manufacturing environments
• Internal controls and SOX implementation experience
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and U.S. GAAP
• Knowledge of tax and transfer pricing issues
