Job summary

About The Opportunity

Our Americas team is currently seeking a Mine Planning Consultant in Denver, CO. Based out of Denver, you will play a key support role for customers of our intuitive open‑pit mine‑planning solutions—Micromine Beyond and Spry. In this role you will be responsible for delivering high‑quality pre‑ and post‑sales support activity, including technical product demonstrations, tenders, proof of concept model builds, software evaluation, campaigns, promotions, conferences and events.

Reporting directly to the Technical Services Manager–Mining, your key responsibilities will include:
  • Assist the sales team by providing technical support during pre‑sales demonstrations, trade shows, and other promotional events as requested
  • Developing and maintaining long‑term customer relationships
  • Create and present strategic technical demonstrations to customers with a solution and value focus
  • Provide training to current and new software users. Such training may take place at a client’s site, at a third‑party venue or online
  • Provide our clients with telephone, email and face‑to‑face support
  • BETA testing new versions and products, providing feedback, and assessing impacts on support procedures and documentation
About You

You will have a background within operational mining, focusing on mine planning.

Other key skills, experience, and qualifications:
  • A tertiary qualification in Mine Engineering
  • Experience with Open Pit mining
  • A minimum of 7 years’ experience in analysis, design, implementation, and support of mine planning and scheduling systems
  • Operational onsite mining experience
  • Experience with general purpose mining software
  • Experience with coal/hard rock mining preferred
  • Client‑facing experience in a software or consulting services company preferred
  • The ability and willingness to travel up to 40% of the time—throughout the Americas
  • Spanish and English professional fluency preferred (spoken and written)
