WSP Global Inc. is seeking an Experienced Permitting Specialist to join our Mine Environment team in a hybrid, Nevada-focused role.

The position emphasizes permitting, data analysis, field programs, and regulatory compliance within the mining sector, with collaboration across US and global teams. You will work with senior regulatory specialists and contribute to proposals, client relationships, and project deliveries while adhering to WSP’s safety and conduct standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Biology, or related field; graduate degree preferred.
• 3–10 years of professional experience in natural resources, permitting, consulting or related field.
• Understanding of state and federal mining regulations and NEPA.
• Knowledge of mining-related environmental practices and standards.
• Experience delivering work in a consulting environment.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to convey technical results in reports and presentations.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and in a hybrid environment.
• Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to policies.
• Willingness for occasional travel, including international.

Responsibilities

• Support mining permitting projects, including data collection and interpretation, permitting support, baseline studies, operational support, and remediation.
• Develop proposals related to mine permitting projects.
• Deliver high-quality reports on time and within budget across multiple projects.
• Design and execute field programs for clients.
• Analyze data, ensure data quality, and provide technical review.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate data into assessments and permit applications.
• Develop and maintain client relationships and promote a safety-first culture.
