Job summary

Capstone Copper Pinto Valley in Globe-Miami, Arizona, is seeking a Mine Maintenance Technician 2 to support Fleet Maintenance operations. The role emphasizes hands-on maintenance, cleaning, and assisting experienced mechanics to keep mobile equipment ready for preventive maintenance and repairs.

You will work under supervision, build practical skills, and participate in ongoing training to progress within the maintenance program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to speak, comprehend, read, and write English.
• Commitment to safe work practices and maintaining a safe environment.

Responsibilities

• Wash, pressure wash, and steam clean mobile equipment before preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards throughout Fleet Maintenance shops and work areas.
• Sweep and clean shop bays, dispose of garbage and waste, and maintain organized work areas.
• Assist mechanics and senior technicians with basic and non-technical maintenance tasks.
• Perform basic preventive maintenance activities within demonstrated competency.
• Assist with basic electrical troubleshooting and repairs under appropriate supervision.
• Support equipment inspections and identification of visible defects or maintenance concerns.
• Follow established maintenance procedures, work instructions, and supervisor direction.
• Maintain accurate communication regarding assigned work and identified equipment concerns.
• Participate in training and hands‑on development to build mechanical and technical skills.
• Demonstrate continuous progression toward the next level of the Fleet Maintenance technician program.
