Job summary

SSR Mining Inc. seeks a Mobile Maintenance Planner to focus on maintenance planning, scheduling and budgeting for open pit assets. The role is salary-exempt with a 4-3 schedule and requires commitment to meeting equipment performance targets and KPIs within budget.

You will collaborate with Production, Maintenance and Supply, while spending about 20% of time in the field ensuring safe, high-quality work execution and continuous improvement across the maintenance team.

Qualifications

• 5 years practical mobile maintenance experience in mining.
• Experience with mobile maintenance planning.
• Experience with CMMS such as SAP, Oracle, JDE, Pronto, eMaint, etc.
• Experience with CAT SIS or other OEM systems.
• Experience with condition monitoring practices (oil analysis, vibration, thermography).

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and manage maintenance for assigned fleet(s).
• Provide monthly budget variance explanations.
• Liaise with Production, Maintenance and Supply Chain to coordinate work.
• Ensure quality work packets for routine maintenance activities.
• Spend ~20% of time in the field engaging with the workforce.

Job Description:

Reporting to the Maintenance Planning General Supervisor, the Mobile Maintenance Planner is a salary exempt role that typically works a 4-3 schedule. This role is intended to focus on Maintenance Planning, Scheduling, and Budgeting for their assigned role in the department. This role is also accountable for ensuring that all equipment performance targets and work management KPIs are achieved within the constraints of the maintenance budget.

Key Areas of Responsibilities & Duties:

• Participate and support site Operational Excellence Projects.
• Provide accurate monthly accruals to accounting group for assigned fleet(s) Manage budget for assigned fleet(s) in Marigold budgeting tool Provide Monthly Budget & Forecast variance explanations Development and update of Maintenance Strategies and Budgets for open pit assets Liaise with Supply Chain to expedite external parts and contractor labor suppliers, where necessary.
• Contractor Representative responsibilities defined in Marigold Contractor Management Policy for assigned contractors.
• Schedule and facilitate Pre-Major and Post-Major meetings with co-workers and contractors Scheduling of all routine maintenance activities (work orders) in consultation with Production and Maintenance, including short-term changes to the maintenance schedules based upon Production, Maintenance and Supply requirements.
• Ensure quality work packets are provided to the Maintenance Supervisors for all routine maintenance activities to ensure quality and efficient work execution.
• Seek detailed work completion information from the Maintenance Supervisors and resolve any issues, as necessary.
• Provide input and feedback to Reliability Engineer to assist in improving overall equipment performance.
• Spend time in the field engaging with the workforce, ~20% of working time.
• Support all predictive technologies employed in the Open Pit maintenance group (Vibration, Oil analysis, Thermography, MineCare, etc.).
• Performs duties and activities in a manner that conforms to all safety practices and other policies, procedures and standards that are established by the company or required by law.
• Liaise with other departments when necessary, such as Safety and Health, Environmental and Accounting.
• Support and grow a culture of continuous improvement within the maintenance planning department.
• Performs additional duties as required.

Required Skills:

• Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Projects, Outlook, Power Point, etc.).
• Familiarity with Power BI Reports, or like system.
• Ability to safely lift, up to 50 pounds.
• Advanced computer skills.
• A good work ethic with the ability to work well with company and vendor personnel.
• Good communication skills. Phone, Email, Writing, etc.
• Capable of managing multiple priorities while maintaining a safe work culture.
• Ability to sit/stand for long periods of time (desk work).

Required Experience:

• 5 years practical mobile maintenance experience with mining equipment including fleet component and parts recognition Experience with mobile maintenance planning, preferred.
• Experience with maintenance CMMS such as SAP, Oracle, JDE, Pronto, eMaint, etc.
• Experience with CAT SIS or other OEM Specialized Systems.
• Experience with Condition monitoring practices such as oil analysis, vibration analysis, ultrasonic testing, thermography, etc.
• Experience using Zero-Based Budgeting (ZBB) tool Xeras or similar tool.
