Job summary

Kinross Gold Corporation is seeking a Safety Professional at Manh Choh in Alaska to promote safety awareness, support Health and Safety policies, and collaborate with site leadership. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree preferred in industrial hygiene or occupational safety and health.
• MSHA instructor certification is required.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel.
• Health and Safety background with five+ years of experience.
• Leadership abilities to lead department when needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the administration of Industrial Hygiene activities and monitor contractor IH programs.
• Assist in developing and implementing controls for identified risks.
• Maintain or create Health and Safety SOPs, manuals, and IH policies.
• Assist with emergency preparedness activities and MERP.
• Lead and support the Critical Risk Management Program improvements.
• Spend time in the field promoting Kinross Health and Safety programs.
• Participate in MSHA inspections and coordinate abatement reports.
• Oversee emergency response capabilities with partners and medical staff.
• Collaborate with partners on Manh Choh MERP implementation.
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety standards for all personnel.
