Job summary

UC San Diego's Department of Psychiatry seeks a mindful education professional to develop and deliver mindfulness-based education, teacher training support, and health coaching programs for campus and community participants.

You will design curriculum using Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction and related approaches, run group courses, provide individual coaching, support trainer certification, assess needs, and collaborate on outreach and course planning to advance wellbeing initiatives.

Qualifications

• Seven years of related experience or a related Bachelor's with three years' related experience.
• Thorough knowledge of health promotion and education.
• Experience designing and delivering health education programs and services.
• Ability to deliver health education courses independently and with guidance when needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver mindfulness-based education programs for campus and community.
• Facilitate group courses and provide individual coaching to participants.
• Evaluate program effectiveness and support outreach and course planning efforts.
