Job summary

Silvercrest Asset Management Group offers a Summer Internship focused on growth equity research in Milwaukee. The program targets rising juniors pursuing Finance or Economics, with an emphasis on building financial models in Excel and gaining direct exposure to equity research, trading, and client-facing activities.

Interns will assist Senior Analysts across Consumer, Healthcare, Industrials, and IT sectors, supporting portfolios and learning about the institutional asset management industry

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required.
• Passion for Fundamental Equity Investing.
• Ability to work independently on directed projects.
• Excellent follow-up and communication skills.
• Preferably enrolled in Security Analysis curriculum or related program.

Responsibilities

• Assist Senior Analysts with research across core Growth sectors.
• Support Growth Equity portfolios from small to large cap.
• Build financial statements in Excel and conduct market research.
• Leverage AI tools and participate in meetings with analysts and management.
• Provide administrative support as needed.

Silvercrest’s Summer Internship Program is an educational and experiential opportunity for rising juniors. The internship’s concept is to give the student a valuable learning experience and provide a working knowledge of how Silvercrest’s Milwaukee Growth Equity team operates for the benefit of its clients. An intern should expect to have direct exposure to long-only, fundamental equity research, portfolio management, trading, and marketing. You will learn about all facets of the institutional asset management industry and broad investment landscape.

Job Objective

As an Intern, you will have the unique opportunity to assist the team’s Senior Analysts in their research across the four primary Growth sectors: Consumer, Healthcare, Industrials, and Information Technology. You will be crucial in supporting the team’s Growth Equity portfolios spanning small to large market capitalizations. Your projects will be diverse, ranging from administrative assistance to building financial statements in Excel, conducting market and industry research, leveraging AI tools and participating in sell-side analyst and company management meetings.
