Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the installation of rotating and centerline power generation equipment, including gas and steam turbines.
• Coordinate daily work activities for millwright crews to ensure productivity, quality, and schedule adherence.
• Partner with OEM representatives to support equipment installation, troubleshooting, and documentation requirements.
• Track installation progress and provide regular updates on manpower, schedule performance, equipment status, and project milestones.
• Coordinate with other construction disciplines to optimize use of shared resources, lifting equipment, work areas, and tooling.
• Ensure materials, hardware, and installation components are available and properly staged for execution.
• Maintain strict foreign material exclusion (FME) practices and ensure compliance throughout equipment installation activities.
• Evaluate and develop craft personnel to ensure high‑quality workmanship and safe execution of work.
• Serve as the subject matter expert for machinery installation and provide technical guidance to project teams.
• Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence across the jobsite.

About the Opportunity

Insight Global is seeking a Millwright Superintendent on behalf of a leading EPC company in the power generation industry. This individual will provide field leadership and oversight for the installation of critical rotating equipment on large-scale power generation projects across the United States. The ideal candidate is a seasoned construction professional with extensive experience installing gas and steam turbine equipment, leading millwright crews, coordinating OEM activities, and ensuring safe, high-quality execution of complex centerline equipment installations.

Skills and Requirements

Must-Have Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical construction, millwright supervision, or power generation equipment installation.
• Extensive experience with Gas Turbine and/or Steam Turbine installation on power generation projects.
• Strong understanding of rotating equipment installation, alignment, precision measurement, and centerline equipment assembly.
• Experience coordinating with OEM representatives during equipment installation and commissioning activities.
• Ability and willingness to travel extensively to project sites nationwide.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working on combined cycle power plants, simple cycle facilities, renewable energy projects, or other large industrial construction projects.
