Job summary

ARAUCO is seeking a Mechanical Millwright/Mechanical Technician in Albany, OR, to support a rotating day-to-night shift schedule (2-2-3). The role requires a Millwright Card or verifiable industrial experience, and 3+ years in industrial mechanics, including hydraulics, bearings, pumps, and gearboxes.

Ideal candidates have welding skills, lubrication knowledge, and the ability to read hydraulic/mechanical drawings, with strong troubleshooting and preventive maintenance capabilities.

Qualifications

• Millwright Card or verifiable industrial/Commercial experience required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years industrial mechanic experience (bearings, hydraulics, pumps, gearboxes) required.
• Welding and fabrication skills beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Respond to mill breakdowns promptly and coordinate with area operators to resolve issues.
• Prioritize safety for yourself and coworkers in all maintenance work.
• Investigate root causes of equipment failures and recommend long-term fixes.
• Lead troubleshooting and document maintenance items (SAP notifications).
• Complete work orders and PM/PD activities per priority, ensuring timely completion.
• Maintain awareness of maintenance issues across the mill or assigned area.
• Collaborate with operations, peers, and supervisors to support downtime recovery.
