Job summary

MEI Industrial Solutions in North Kingstown, Rhode Island, is seeking a skilled Millwright to assemble, install, disassemble, align, and reassemble heavy equipment, and assist with relocation projects. The role requires precise use of hand and power tools, rigging and leveling techniques, adherence to MEI safety manuals, and teamwork in a fast-paced, on-site environment.

Candidates should bring experience with mechanical alignment, test rigs, and ability to read and follow Pre-Task Plans.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of millwright or directly relatable experience.
• Use effective interpersonal skills to maintain positive environment and relationships.
• Good understanding of the English language, including spelling and grammar.
• Be approachable, open-minded, and possess a strong sense of responsibility; passionate about work.

Responsibilities

• Installs and maintains machinery and equipment using hoists, lift trucks, hand tools, and power tools.
• Align machines and equipment, using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, levels, lasers, and plumb bobs.
• Level / establish centerline, using straightedge, levels, and transit.
• Dismantle machinery and equipment for shipment to installation site, usually part of a team.
• Construct foundations for machines, using hand tools and building materials.
• Replace defective parts and adjust clearances and alignment of moving parts.
