Job summary

Methuen Construction is seeking a Millwright for on-site work on industrial and heavy civil projects in New England. The role covers installing, aligning, and maintaining machinery, reading blueprints, and ensuring safe operation on active sites.

Applicants should have substantial construction-related experience and be prepared for travel as projects arise. The position offers competitive hourly pay, comprehensive benefits, and a strong safety culture across a self-performing contractor

Qualifications

• High School or Vocational education or relevant work experience.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience within the construction industry.
• Experience in wastewater and water treatment plants highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics and detailed repair drawings related to construction equipment and machinery.
• Rigging, moving, and setting machinery and equipment on pads.
• Setting and alignment of baseplates associated with machinery.
• The alignment and coupling of machinery and motor shafts.
• Adjustment and installation of vibration isolation.
• Layout and setting of templates associated with setting equipment baseplates.
• Rigging and setting of machinery, pumps, equipment, and process storage tanks.
• Align machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, plumb bobs etc.
• Move machinery and equipment using hoist, dollies, rollers, and trucks.
• Repair and lubricate machines and equipment.
• Assemble machines, and bolt, welt, rivet or otherwise fasten them to foundation or other structures using hand tools and power tools
