PBF Energy Martinez Refinery is seeking an experienced Millwright Mechanic to maintain and overhaul process equipment. This role requires field and shop work, tolerance interpretation, and proficiency with precision measuring tools. A valid TWIC card and prior refinery experience are highly valued.

You will join a team performing maintenance on pumps, turbines, gearboxes, valves, and related machinery in a demanding industrial setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED.
• 4+ years Millwright/Mechanical Journeyman level work experience.
• Preferred: one of the following certifications in a Mechanical discipline: Union or Company Apprenticeship, Trade School, Journeyman level Machinist.
• Previous refinery or chemical plant experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, and overhaul process rotating machinery in shop and field environments.
• Use standard hand tools and battery operated tools.
• Use precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, protractors, indicators).
• Interpret tolerances and dimensions from drawings, sketches, and engineering documents.
• Operate shop support equipment (saws, forklifts, overhead cranes, hydraulic presses, bearing heaters, torches).

This includes Pumps, Compressors, Turbines, Gearboxes, Motors, Fans, Blowers, Valves, and Specialty equipment.Job Responsibilities May Include:Maintain, repair, & overhaul process rotating machinery in a safe & efficient manner in both a shop and field environment.Able to use standard hand tools and battery operated toolsAble to use precision measuring equipment (Micrometers, Calipers, Protractors, & Indicators).Interpreting tolerances and dimensions from drawings, sketches, & engineering documents.Operate various shop support equipment.
