Job summary

Branscome Companies Inc. is seeking a Millwright for their Asphalt Plants in Hampton, Virginia. This role involves the installation and maintenance of equipment used in asphalt manufacturing, dismantling heavy machinery, and working with various tools.

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma and a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, including knowledge of hydraulics and the ability to read blueprints. A valid Driver's License is also required.

Major Role and Purpose

• Install and maintain equipment used in the manufacturing of Asphalt.

Description of Duties

• Dismantle, repair and re‑assemble heavy industrial machinery.
• Install equipment such as shafting and conveyors.
• Work with a variety of hand tools including measuring tools, welding and brazing equipment.
• Determine which machines, techniques, and tools to use when moving equipment and completing jobs.
• Perform all other duties deemed necessary or assigned.
• The job duties described herein are not exhaustive and may be supplemented.

Education

• High School Diploma.

Experience

• Knowledge of hydraulics, belt systems, motors, and other industrial machine mechanisms.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Millwright or similar job preferred.
• In depth knowledge of construction equipment and machinery.
• Reading blueprints and schematics.
• Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
