Job summary

Rayonier is seeking a skilled millwright to maintain plant equipment and train junior maintenance staff. The position offers an hourly wage of $40.01 and requires hands-on expertise with mill machinery, welding, and hydraulics.

You will repair and align equipment, read schematics, and contribute to preventative maintenance programs. The role includes shift work and potential overtime, with opportunities to coach 1, 2, and 3 levels in advanced maintenance.

Qualifications

• Prior work experience as a millwright.
• Welding.
• Acetylene/Oxygen Torch.
• Wide range of mechanical skills with hand and power tools.
• Proficient in alignment of equipment.
• Forklift familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Use mechanical and power tools to repair mill equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance.
• Create/close work orders in the system.
• Advanced maintenance on all equipment.
• Train levels 1, 2 & 3 on advanced maintenance.
• Oversee project work.
• Read schematics and manuals for repairs.
• Perform alignments and precision measuring.
• Welding and fabrication for repairs and installation.
• Maintain hydraulic and pneumatic units and devices.
• Repair and install mechanical parts.
• Operate forklift as required.
• Follow safety rules.
• Work scheduled shifts and overtime.
• Serve as relief operator.

Maintain all equipment in the plant. Train lower level maintenance personnel.

The hourly rate of pay for this position is $40.01

Daily Job Duties

• Use mechanical and power tools to repair mill equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance.
• Be able to create/close work orders in the system
• Be able to do advanced maintenance on all equipment
• Able to train 1,2 & 3 levels on advanced maintenance
• Effectively be able to oversee project work
• Read schematics, and instruction manuals to make equipment repairs.
• Be able to perform alignments on equipment and do precision measuring
• Welding & Fabrication for repairs and installation of mill equipment
• Work on and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic units and devices.
• Properly repair and install mechanical parts for equipment
• Operate Forklift - as required
• Follow all applicable safety rules.
• Work regularly scheduled shifts
• Work scheduled overtime - as required
• Work as relief operator
• Works in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
