Job summary

TIC - The Industrial Company is seeking a skilled Millwright Journeyman to plan, lay out, install and align equipment at a power plant/industrial site. You will read plans, lay out foundations, and support assembly, alignment and testing of machinery, ensuring compliance with specifications.

The role requires tool proficiency, safety discipline, and the ability to work extended hours and in challenging environments. Candidates should be able to operate hoists and move heavy components as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience as Millwright Journeyman in a Power Plant/Industrial setting.
• Ability to read plans and follow instructions; communicate with supervision.
• Proficient with hand and power tools and layout tools; safe operation.

Responsibilities

• Plan, diagram and lay-out for millwright's work.
• Use hand and power tools to measure, cut, assemble and align machinery.
• Verify inventory and prepare foundations for machine placement; establish elevations.
• Torque, rig and align equipment; test and adjust installed machinery.
• Dismantle, move and reassemble machines using hoists, hand tools, and rollers.
• Assemble machines and attach them to foundations per project specs.
• Estimate sizes, distances, and quantities; assess time, costs, resources.
• Inspect work for compliance with plans and correct deficiencies.
