Job summary

IMI Industrial Services Group is seeking a full-time Millwright Foreman to lead on-site installation and maintenance projects in the Watkinsville, GA area. You will supervise dismantling, moving, assembling, and installing industrial machinery, ensuring safety and quality standards are met on every job.

You will coordinate with customers, vendors, and project managers, develop training plans, and uphold the company’s safety policy to protect personnel and equipment on site.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in an industrial mechanical role.
• NCCER or AWS certification or completion of a related program through an accredited technical school is preferred.
• On-site Watkinsville, GA location and readiness to work in varied environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to maintain a safe, positive, and respectful work culture.
• Supervise dismantling, moving, assembling, and installing industrial machinery to ensure safety, quality, and timeliness.
• Function as liaison between customers, vendors, project managers, and crew on current and future projects.
• Inspect work quality and assist workers as needed to meet company standards.

• Ensure that safety assessments (JHA and site inspections) are completed before work begins.

Job Summary

IMI is seeking a full-time Millwright Foremanlocal to the Watkinsville, GA area.

Essential Functions

• Successfully complete Industrial Mechanical, Inc.’s Foreman training.
• Provide leadership that result in a safe, positive, and respectful work culture.
• Function as the on-site Quality Lead as required to support the IMI Quality Management System.
• Supervise and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in dismantling, moving, assembling, and installing industrial machinery to ensure work is performed safely, correctly, and timely.
• Ability to serve as a liaison between customers, vendors, project managers, and other employees regarding current and future projects.
• Effective communication skills, especially with respect to directing others.
• Inspects quality of all work to ensure company standards and project specifications are met.
• Assists workers in their performance of assigned duties.
• Analyze and resolve work related problems.
• Reviews materials received at jobsite to ensure it is correct and not defective.
• Checks equipment to ensure proper working conditions.
• Maintains time and track production.
• Ability to communicate with Project Managers and General Foremen about establishing and adjusting work sequences to meet schedules.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple employees and projects at once.
• Ensure that all initial safety and hazard assessments (JHA’s and Worksite Safety Inspections) required by Industrial Mechanical, Inc. and our customers are completed before work begins.
• Perform competency assessments of subordinate employees.
• Works with Leadership to develop training plans and coaches to ensure that crews meet required levels of quality.

Education and Experience

• 3+ years' experience
• NCCER or AWS certification or completion of a related program through an accredited technical school is preferred.

Work Environment/Physical Demands

• *Must be able to meet all physical requirements to perform the job.
• Must be able to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, grasp, twist, and bend for extended periods of time.
• Use arms and hands to reach for, handle or manipulate objects.
• Lift or carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds; occasionally lift items weighing more than 50 pounds with assistance.
• Must be able to work indoors and outdoors, including times of inclement weather.
• Manual dexterity is needed for repetitive tasks and to operate standard operating equipment.
• Ability to climb in overhead structures, to work beneath machines and in close quarters performing analysis and repair work.
• Must be highly safety cautious and have ability to see and escape from dangerous situations.
• Ability to climb a ladder and step into various pieces of equipment.
• Good physical fitness, eye-hand coordination, and ability to quickly respond to sounds.
• Good sense of balance and ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces.
• Ability to wear PPE correctly for working shifts.
