Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services in Chicago seeks a SUMMARY Helper to install, align and commission machinery according to layout plans and drawings. You will read blueprints, move heavy equipment and assist with foundations and basic maintenance under supervision.

The candidate should have hands-on experience with hand and power tools, hoists and cranes, and be able to read instructions and work safely at heights. Training and stable scheduling are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous years of field experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Reads and interprets blueprints and layout plans to determine work procedures.
• Dismantles machines using hand tools.
• Moves machinery and equipment using hoists and dollies.
• Assembles and installs equipment using cranes, hand tools and power tools.
• Aligns machines using hoists, jacks, and measuring tools.
• Performs basic maintenance and lubrication; observes safety rules.
