Job summary

Trillium Construction is hiring a Millwright Foreman to oversee a crew of 10-15 millwrights on a night shift during a shutdown at a food processing plant in Jamestown, ND.

This contract-to-hire opportunity pays $38/hour plus $135/day per diem. Night shift consists of seven 12-hour shifts per week, with hours 5:30 PM–6:30 AM (exact hours to be confirmed). The foreman leads the crew, ensuring safety and coordinating with the Project Superintendent.

Qualifications

• 5+ years progressive experience as a Foreman.
• 5+ years experience as a Millwright.
• Previous experience leading 10-15 people.
• Extensive knowledge of reading and interpreting construction blueprints and specifications.
• Strong planning and scheduling knowledge.
• Experience in the installation of packaging lines.

Responsibilities

• Participates in and monitors “Safety Toolbox Meetings.”
• Ensures timely responses, actions, and corrections to any safety issues / needs.
• Orders manpower as required through the Project Superintendent
• Communicates with the Project Superintendent regarding all aspects of the job.
• Assigns daily crew tasks.
• Recognizes, addresses, and resolves issues as they arise on the jobsite.
• Identifies needs and deficiencies in the “look-ahead” plan and communicates with the Project Superintendent
• Ensures crew compliance with the project policies and procedures.
• Works with the crew to overcome challenges with effective problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
• Identifies, verifies, and reports any scheduling conflicts with other trades
• Leads crew in a productive manner
• Assesses crew skills to be able to coach and teach

Job description

Trillium Construction is hiring for Millwright Foreman to oversee a crew of 10-15 Millwrights on night shift during a shutdown throughout November that are performing industrial equipment installation, mechanical assembly, and maintenance at a food processing plant in Jamestown, ND.

Work starts ASAP!. The shutdown is through the end of November; contract-to-hire opportunity. Pay rate is$38/hour plus$135/day per diem, seven days per week. This is night shift, seven 12-hour shifts per week. Listed shutdown hours are 5:30 PM–6:30 AM; exact shift hours to be confirmed. The foreman will lead the millwright crew during shutdown work. Detailed scope, PPE, and tool requirements are pending confirmation.
