Millwright Maintenance Foreman NCCER Certified (No Per Diem) Long Term

Work Hours: Mon - Fri 7:00AM - 3:30PM

Must pass pre-employment physical and background check

Position Overview

The Millwright Foreman provides leadership, instruction, and guidance to other craft workers in the work crew, assisting the General Foreman.

Responsibilities

1. Read and interpret blueprints, layout plans, vendor installation and operation manuals, and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
2. Dismantle machines using hand tools such as hammers, wrenches, and crowbars.
3. Move machinery and equipment using hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks.
4. Assemble and install equipment like shaffing, conveyors, and tram rails using cranes and power tools.
5. Construct foundations for machines with hand tools and materials such as wood, cement, and steel.
6. Align machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, and measuring tools, with knowledge of optical and laser alignments.
7. Fasten machines to foundations or structures via bolting, welding, or riveting.
8. Operate engine lathe for grinding, filing, and turning machine parts as needed.
9. Install and modify robot programs using teach pendants.
10. Use transit and levels for equipment setting.
11. Load, transport, and unload materials, tools, and supplies.
12. Perform maintenance, cleaning, and repair of tools, machines, and equipment.
13. Observe and comply with all safety and project rules.
14. Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

• Ability to work within precise limits and standards of accuracy.
• Apply shop mathematics and logical procedures.
• Plan work and select proper tools.
• Visualize objects in three dimensions from plans and drawings.
• Make decisions based on measurable criteria.
• Operate machinery and work at heights confidently.
• High school diploma or equivalent, with relevant experience.

Physical Requirements

• Standing 50%, walking 10%, sitting 40%.
• Lifting and carrying up to 35 lbs.
• Climbing, balancing, and other physical activities as specified.
