Job summary

Comfort Systems USA Shoffner in Knoxville seeks experienced Millwright Foremen to lead on industrial projects. The role requires reading blueprints, supervising crews, and ensuring safe, on‑time equipment installation and maintenance.

Candidates should have 4+ years as a Millwright, leadership experience preferred, and a proven ability to work in extreme conditions. Schedule will vary with plant downtime; veterans encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as a Millwright or similar position.
• Leadership experience preferred.
• Maintain a drug‑free workplace.
• Punctual and reliable.
• Team player.
• Capable of working in extremes of heat, cold, bad weather, indoors and outdoors.
• Stand and walk throughout the workday and lift/carry up to 60 lbs.
• Operate well in confined spaces and at heights, including crawling, squatting, kneeling, and bending.
• Good motor control, vision, and hand‑eye coordination.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and drawings for construction machines.
• Rig, move, and set equipment such as HVAC units using cranes and helicopters.
• Conduct general maintenance on industrial equipment.
• Perform demolition as needed.
• Use precision tools to take accurate measurements.
• Perform drilling, welding, bolting, and other duties as required.
• Coordinate with owners or general contractors to complete jobs on time and within budget.
