Job summary

Consolidated Precision Products Corp is seeking a skilled Millwright with electrical experience to install, troubleshoot, and repair manufacturing equipment and support facility systems. You will perform preventive maintenance, follow drawings and manuals, and coordinate with production to minimize downtime.

Four years of Millwright experience are required, with preferred electrical knowledge. Candidates should be able to read blueprints, use measuring tools, and follow safety procedures on day

Qualifications

• Four years of Millwright experience, with preferred electrical knowledge or licensing.
• Ability to read blueprints, technical part manuals and their application.
• Adherence to established safety procedures and use of PPE.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, service, and repairs to buildings, facilities and grounds.
• Install, service, troubleshoot and repair machine control components, power transmission and hydraulics.
• Maintain equipment, parts and supplies inventories; order and track items as needed.
• Perform welding and fabrication of custom parts or to repair equipment to original condition.
• Provide proper record keeping for machines, equipment and facilities.

Primary Purpose

Millwright - Electrical Experience Preferred

The Maintenance Millwright implements and expedites general maintenance functions, preventative maintenance and repair of manufacturing equipment, and improvement of the facilities. Depending on licensing, it may include electrical, pneumatic, vacuum, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Perform installation, service, and repairs to buildings, facilities, and grounds including, but not limited to: doors, windows, structure and supports, guard rails and fencing, air handling and exhaust units, equipment foundations, and pavement.
• Install service, troubleshoot, and repair all types of machine control components, power transmission components, and hydraulic systems.
• Install and setup of manufacturing equipment.
• Ensure operation of mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on machining lathes and mills, motors, pneumatic tools, and production equipment; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
• Locate root cause of problems by using sound troubleshooting methods to ensure that permanent repairs can be made to minimize costly downtime.
• Use all required hand and power tools including, but not limited to: drill, saw, torch, and jacks, as well as ladders, cranes, high lift, and other maintenance equipment.
• Perform welding and fabrication of custom parts or to repair equipment to original condition.
• Maintain clear communication with supervisor and with production regarding equipment status of repair, and release to production.
• Provide proper record keeping, documentation, and information for, but not limited to; Machine, equipment and facility files.
• Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
• Operate and/or maintain a variety of Tools and equipment.
• Must be familiar with the scope and limitation of the state licensing requirements in Millwright and Electrical work.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications And Experience

• Basic computer skills.
• Demonstrated ability to follow all established safe work procedures including, but not limited to personal protection equipment, safety lockout/tag-out, confined space, and elevated work areas.
• Use all required hand and power tools including, but not limited to: drill, saw, torch, and jacks, as well as ladders, cranes, high lift, and other maintenance equipment.
• Must be willing to undergo a pre-employment background check.
• Must be willing to participate in pre-employment and periodic drug screening.
• Must have four years' Millwright experience, with preferred electrical knowledge, or licensing.

Millwright

• Experience in an industrial maintenance or millwright setting, with working knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems preferred.
• Requires working knowledge of blueprints, technical part manuals and their application. This may include electrical and mechanical diagrams, gages, meters, calipers and other measuring tools.
• High School diploma or GED preferred

Preferred Electrical

• Preferred ability to trouble shoot and repair electrical installations and equipment effectively.
• Preferred demonstrated experience in electrical and/or electronic and mechanical maintenance including motors, controls, power supplies, AC/DC theory, power distribution, PLC's, hydraulics/pneumatics, lubrication, power transmission, pumps.

Schedule

• Weekday Night Shift (4x10) $1.00/hour shift differential
• Weekend Graveyard Shift (3x12) $2.50/hour shift differential
• Overtime offered based on business needs
