Job summary

Stella-Jones is a leading manufacturer serving utilities, railroads and big box retailers across North America. This role maintains plant equipment, performs welding/fabrication, and ensures safe, reliable operation of processing systems at our Tacoma site.

You will inspect, service, repair, and replace components, manage parts inventory, and participate in the company safety program while supporting continuous operations.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining plant processing equipment.
• Ability to perform welding and fabrication tasks safely.
• Familiarity with electrical, mechanical, pneumatics and hydraulics.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, service, repair and construct plant processing equipment throughout the facility.
• Use welding and fabrication tools to alter and repair equipment.
• Manage inventory of serviceable parts for maintenance.
• Perform the Preventive Maintenance Program as directed.
• Document work and advise on future requirements promptly.
• Support and participate in the Company safety program.

This role is responsible to maintain property, plant and equipment in a productive, efficient and safe manner by performing the following duties.

Principal Responsibilities

• Inspect, service, repair and construct plant processing equipment, including structures, utilities, loaders, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, mechanical, and pressure vessel work throughout the plant.
• Utilize welding and fabrication tools to alter, repair and fabricate processing equipment.
• Manage inventory of serviceable parts required to maintain equipment.
• Perform the Preventive Maintenance Program established by the Company.
• Document and report maintenance work performed and advise of future requirements in a timely manner.
• Participate and contribute to Company safety program.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
