Job summary

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a Millwright in the Queensbury, NY area to maintain and repair sawmill equipment, front-end loaders, edgers, trim saws, planer mills, and dry kilns. The ideal candidate has mechanical maintenance experience and the willingness to learn.

You will diagnose hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems, perform preventive maintenance, keep accurate records, and collaborate with a team to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Experience repairing chains and belts is a plus.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment including front-end loaders, edgers, trim saws, planer mills, and dry kilns.
• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic hoses, pneumatic systems, minor electrical components, chains, and belts.
• Conduct preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and track parts usage.
• Collaborate with team members to resolve unexpected equipment failures.
• Ensure all maintenance activities follow safety protocols and industry standards.
