Barton Mines Company in Indian Lake, NY is seeking a skilled Millwright to perform advanced mechanical maintenance and installation of industrial equipment. The role supports reliable production through preventive and corrective maintenance and requires strong hands-on mechanical skills.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in industrial maintenance, welding experience, and a NY Plant Maintenance Mechanic Certification. Excellent benefits and a Monday–Friday schedule are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on maintenance skills.
• 5 years of industrial machine maintenance/repair in manufacturing.
• 2 years of professional welding experience.
• Vocational or technical training in skilled trades.
• New York State Plant Maintenance Mechanic Certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced mechanical maintenance, repair, fabrication, and installation of industrial equipment.
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to safely install, align, and secure machinery.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and support reliable production through preventative and corrective maintenance.
• Use welding, fabrication, rigging, and mechanical skills to complete repairs and equipment improvements.
• Follow safety procedures, use required PPE, and work cooperatively with operations and maintenance team members.
