Job summary

EnerStaff LLC in Pasadena, TX is seeking a skilled Millwright to service pumps, compressors and reciprocating equipment. Start ASAP; pay $35-$38 per hour DOE.

This is a field-service role with customer-facing duties requiring strong mechanical aptitude and reliability in challenging environments. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, disassemble and reassemble components, read mechanical drawings, and ensure proper alignment, balance and tolerances.

Qualifications

• Experience with centrifugal and reciprocating compressors.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
• Background check and drug screen may be required.

Responsibilities

• Service and perform preventive and corrective field maintenance on compressors.
• Disassemble, repair and reassemble components ensuring proper alignment and tolerances.
• Inspect equipment and read bearing clearances and rotor conditions as needed.
• Install and troubleshoot various compressor types following manufacturer instructions.
• Document actions and maintain logs to ensure continuity between shifts.

Job Description and Requirements

• Must have experience with centrifugal and reciprocating compressors
• Service and provide preventive and corrective field mechanical service compressors.
• Disassembles repairs and reassembles components and equipment to ensure proper alignment, balance and tolerances.
• Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
• Field maintenance tasks including equipment troubleshooting, installation/removal, repair May be required to perform machine tool work using lathes, mills, saws, etc.
• Remove and clean compressor rotors Replace and install gear boxes Read and interpret mechanical drawings Inspecting equipment by checking bearing clearances rotor conditions, etc.
• Install, perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot and repair, and overhaul various types of compressors following manufacturer's instructions and/or company polices; Perform compressor repairs with disassembly (including mechanical seal removal)
• Able to work independently in the filed in customer-facing service roles.
• Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions irregularities, and continuing needs. Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.
• Maintain accurate record keeping, reports and send reports to supervisor Updates job knowledge by participating in educational and training opportunities; reading technical publications, attending seminars or workshops.
• Will be required to perform quarterly & annually work-related assessments such as quizzes, hands-on test, and verbal protocol to ensure Perform other duties as required.
