Job summary

EnerStaff LLC is seeking a Rotating Equipment Mechanic in Pasadena, Texas for field service on pumps, compressors, and related equipment. The role involves tearing down, rebuilding, and servicing centrifugal and reciprocating compressors, with a strong emphasis on safe, accurate mechanical work.

Responsibilities include disassembly/reassembly, alignment checks, bearing clearance inspections, and installation of gearboxes.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Tear down and rebuild pumps and compressors in field service.
• Provide preventive and corrective maintenance on compressors.
• Disassemble, repair and reassemble components ensuring alignment and tolerances.
• Inspect equipment by checking bearing clearances and rotor conditions.
• Document actions and communicate with supervisor; complete logs.

Job Description and Requirements

Currently looking to a Rotating Equipment Mechanic with Compressor experience for field service. Will be tearing down/ rebuilding pumps and compressors.

• Must have experience with centrifugal and reciprocating compressors
• Service and provide preventive and corrective field mechanical service compressors.
• Disassembles repairs and reassembles components and equipment to ensure proper alignment, balance and tolerances.
• Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
• Field maintenance tasks including equipment troubleshooting, installation/removal, repair May be required to perform machine tool work using lathes, mills, saws, etc.
• Remove and clean compressor rotors Replace and install gear boxes Read and interpret mechanical drawings Inspecting equipment by checking bearing clearances rotor conditions, etc.
• Install, perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot and repair, and overhaul various types of compressors following manufacturer's instructions and/or company polices; Perform compressor repairs with disassembly (including mechanical seal removal)
• Able to work independently in the filed in customer-facing service roles.
• Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions irregularities, and continuing needs. Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.
• Maintain accurate record keeping, reports and send reports to supervisor Updates job knowledge by participating in educational and training opportunities; reading technical publications, attending seminars or workshops.
• Will be required to perform quarterly & annually work-related assessments such as quizzes, hands-on test, and verbal protocol to ensure Perform other duties as required.
