Job summary

CAM Industrial Solutions is seeking a safety-conscious Millwright Level III in Houston to fabricate, fit, and apply insulation to pipes on job sites. You will read blueprints, level and align pump bases and equipment, and contribute to precision pump work and maintenance.

Qualified candidates have a minimum of 4 years in industrial construction/maintenance, NCCER Certified Plus, and strong knowledge of mechanical seals, bearings, and drive couplings.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years industrial construction/maintenance experience.
• NCCER Certified Plus is required.
• Knowledge of reverse alignment and pumps, gearboxes, seals, and related mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and layouts to determine work sequences.
• Level and align pump bases on job sites.
• Level and align equipment such as compressors, turbines, and centrifuges; perform pump repair and maintenance.
• Set impeller clearance on pumps.
• Set fan blades and align motors to gearboxes.
• Measure precision fits and ensure proper tolerances.

Position Summary

Responsible for fabricating, fitting, and applying insulation to the pipe on a job site.

Primary Responsibility

• Read blueprints and layouts
• Level and align pump bases
• Level and align equipment such as compressors, turbines, paper machines and centrifuge, conduct pump repair and maintenance
• Set impeller clearance on pumps
• Set fan blades
• Alignment of motor to gearbox
• Measurement of precision fits

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years industrial construction/maintenance industry experience
• NCCER Certified Plus - Required
• Knowledge of reverse alignment (where required), different types of metals, different types of bearings, mechanical seals, tandem seals, compression packing, multi-stage pumps, vertical pumps, different types of drive coupling, cooling tower fan units, gearboxes and agitators, gas turbines (where applicable) steam turbines, centrifugal compressor, reciprocal compressor, machine shop equipment, hydraulic reading and IRD reading
