Salary Range: $28.00 To $35.00 Hourly
We are looking for a skilled, safety-minded Millwright who enjoys hands-on mechanical work, troubleshooting equipment issues, and keeping critical production systems running. In this role, you will install, inspect, repair, rebuild, align, and maintain mechanical equipment that supports safe, reliable plant operations. You will work closely with operations, maintenance, and experienced technicians to resolve issues, complete preventive maintenance, and improve equipment performance.
What You’ll Do
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, rebuild, and maintain industrial mechanical equipment used in plant operations.
- Diagnose and repair pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, chains, belts, rollers, drives, shafts, couplings, and related equipment.
- Perform precision alignment, fitting, rigging, and layout work to support reliable equipment operation.
- Complete preventive maintenance inspections, lubrication tasks, adjustments, and mechanical repairs to reduce unplanned downtime.
- Read, interpret, and use mechanical drawings, equipment manuals, blueprints, and technical documentation.
- Use hand tools, power tools, measuring tools, shop equipment, and rigging equipment safely and effectively.
- Perform welding, cutting, fabrication, and basic machining tasks as needed for equipment repair and installation.
- Work directly with operators to investigate daily equipment issues and restore dependable operation.
- Support equipment installations, shutdown work, rebuilds, and plant improvement projects.
- Follow established safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, and maintenance work practices.
- Document maintenance activities, findings, parts used, and completed work clearly and accurately.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
- Four or more years of related millwright, mechanical maintenance, industrial maintenance, or equipment repair experience.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot mechanical equipment safely and methodically.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, equipment manuals, blueprints, and technical documentation.
- Working knowledge of bearings, gearboxes, conveyors, pumps, drives, belts, chains, shafts, couplings, and lubrication practices.
- Clear communication, sound judgment, strong problem-solving skills, and dependable follow-through.
Helpful Experience
- Industrial mechanical maintenance in a manufacturing, wood products, sawmill, panel, or related production environment.
- Precision alignment, rigging, fabrication, welding, cutting, hydraulics, pneumatics, or basic machining.
- Preventive maintenance, equipment reliability practices, shutdown work, rebuilds, and project support.
No specific license or certification is required.

This is an active industrial maintenance role that includes hands‑on mechanical repair, equipment installation, preventive maintenance, and shutdown support. The successful candidate must be able to:
- Meet the position’s physical requirements, including standing, walking, climbing, bending, lifting, carrying tools and parts, and working around operating equipment.
- Work safely on and around conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, drives, shafts, bearings, and other industrial mechanical systems.
- Use required personal protective equipment and follow lockout/tagout, fall protection, confined space, rigging, and hot work procedures as applicable.
- Work extended day or night shifts, weekends, holidays, call‑ins, shutdowns, and overtime based on operating needs.
- Perform work indoors and outdoors, including in extreme weather conditions.
