Job summary

Lucas Milhaupt in Wisconsin is seeking a skilled Journeyman Millwright to install, maintain, repair, and dismantle industrial machinery across our manufacturing facilities.

You will read blueprints, perform preventive maintenance, align and level equipment, and troubleshoot mechanical issues, working with hydraulics, pneumatics, and power transmission components. This is an on-site role requiring PPE and collaboration with diverse teams.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Millwright certification is required.
• Hands-on experience with manufacturing equipment and facilities.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Promote safety as the number one priority for all Lucas employees.
• Maintenance of shop floor machine and equipment.
• Install new machinery and production equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical failures and breakdowns.
• Align and level machinery using precision measuring tools.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Replace worn or damaged parts such as bearings, gears, belts, and motors.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.

Position Overview

Requires a skilled tradesperson who installs, maintains, repairs, and dismantles industrial machinery and mechanical equipment in facilities such as manufacturing plants, power plants, food-processing facilities, paper mills, and warehouses.

This position is based on site at our facilities in Cudahy, Wisconsin. It is a manufacturing company, and this role will work with a diverse population in both office and production settings. The position requires the use of personal protective equipment (eye protection, safety shoes, etc.).
