Job summary

ASR Group in California seeks a Maintenance Technician to keep refinery equipment in top running condition under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor.

You will perform mechanical troubleshooting, routine and preventive maintenance, welding/burning, pipe work, and collaborate with refinery teams. Must be able to work overtime, weekends, and wear PPE; unionized environment experience preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in industrial maintenance or service organization.
• Ability to work overtime, rotating shifts and weekends on a regular basis.
• Have a high regard and ownership for personal safety and the safety of others.
• Ability to work as part of a team in a unionized environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide maintenance services through the refinery.
• Perform mechanical troubleshooting and repairs.
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance services, including; troubleshooting, mechanical repairs, rigging, metal fabrication and repairs (welding/burning), pipe installation and repairs, and building crafts work.
• Perform cleaning and lubrication on mechanical equipment.
• Work with other refinery maintenance and operations personnel to handle normal everyday problems.
• Will be assigned to one of the maintenance groups, which include: refinery maintenance, warehouse, pipe/metal, building crafts, garage and raw sugar maintenance.

OVERVIEW

Works under the direction of Maintenance Supervisor to make sure equipment is in their assigned area is kept in top running condition.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to perform tasks wearing required PPE such as protective clothing, safety glasses/goggles, steel-toed boots, etc.
• Ability to work as part of a team in a unionized environment.

PAY RATE

• Hourly rate: $43.04
