Job summary

ASR Group in the San Francisco area is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep refinery equipment in top condition under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor. The role covers a broad range of mechanical troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance, with emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Responsibilities include welding/burning, pipe work, rigging, and coordination with maintenance and operations staff across multiple groups.

OVERVIEW

Works under the direction of Maintenance Supervisor to make sure equipment is in their assigned area is kept in top running condition.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for providing maintenance services through the refinery.
• Performs mechanical troubleshooting and repairs.
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance services, including; troubleshooting, mechanical repairs, rigging, metal fabrication and repairs (welding/burning), pipe installation and repairs, and building crafts work.
• Perform cleaning and lubrication on mechanical equipment.
• Work with other refinery maintenance and operations personnel to handle normal everyday problems.
• Will be assigned to one of the maintenance groups, which include: refinery maintenance, warehouse, pipe/metal, building crafts, garage and raw sugar maintenance.

• Ability to work overtime, rotating shifts and weekends on a regular basis
• Have a high regard and ownership for personal safety and the safety of others.
• Ability to perform tasks wearing required PPE such as protective clothing, safety glasses/goggles, steel-toed boots, etc.
• Ability to work as part of a team in a unionized environment.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• At least 1yearof experience in industrial maintenance or service organization

PAY RATE

• Hourly rate: $43.04
