What You'll Be Doing
As a Millwright, you'll play a critical role in keeping industrial and construction equipment operating safely and efficiently. This position combines mechanical expertise, problem-solving, installation work, and hands‑on field experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Disassemble, repair, rebuild, and reassemble industrial and construction equipment.
- Install, maintain, and align pumps, motors, conveyors, shafting, and related mechanical systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, engineering drawings, and specifications.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical malfunctions with minimal supervision.
- Perform preventive maintenance to maximize equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
- Safely move, position, and install equipment using proper rigging techniques.
- Weld, braze, grind, cut, and fabricate components as needed.
- Install and repair piping systems for fresh water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
- Align machinery, shafts, chain guides, and mechanical components using precision measuring tools.
- Support concrete, grading, and equipment installation activities.
- Coordinate with construction crews to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Travel between local project sites to perform installations, maintenance, and repairs.
- Promote and maintain the highest standards of safety and workmanship.
What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of Millwright experience (2-3+ years preferred).
- Strong knowledge of industrial machinery and construction equipment.
- Experience working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Hands‑on experience with pumps, motors, conveyors, and mechanical drive systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings.
- Experience with rigging and moving heavy equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting and mechanical diagnostic abilities.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and precision equipment.
- Welding and brazing experience.
- Ability to install, repair, and align piping systems.
- Strong understanding of safe work practices and construction site procedures.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Maintenance mechanic or industrial maintenance experience.
- Experience with water treatment, wastewater treatment, or utility infrastructure projects.
- Background in rehabilitation and Job Order Contract (JOC) work.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs.
- Experience with pumping stations and related infrastructure.
- Ability to mentor and guide less experienced team members.
- Familiarity with layout design, equipment placement, and alignment procedures.
Work Environment
This position is based on active construction and infrastructure project sites throughout the Mesa area. Work is performed primarily outdoors and involves hands‑on mechanical work around heavy equipment, industrial machinery, pumps, motors, conveyors, piping systems, and related infrastructure.
