PARR is the total source for homebuilding supplies, solutions, and services. We focus on supplying building materials and solutions to professional home builders of all sizes including custom builders, large production builders, and multifamily builders. Pay : Starting at $23 to $27 an hour, depending on experience

Schedule : Monday - Friday 8am to 4:30pm

The Door Service Technician is responsible for making sure the materials provided by PARR Door and Millwork meet the customer's needs. They will be working with Door and Millwork product warranty claims at jobsites to problem solve and ensure the customer is satisfied with their purchase. This person will need to be responsive to client requests and respectful while on job sites.

The Service Tech will be an important part in achieving PARR's mission of Legendary Service Through Teamwork by providing a value-added service to products we sold and our customers installed. They will also be responsible for building relationships with our larger clients and communicating with our team to ensure the best customer service.

Qualifications

  • Experience with door and millwork installation, and repair
  • Ability to apply mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations
  • Ability to gather facts and problem solve
  • Ability to work unsupervised and desires a high level of responsibility
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable to daily changing needs and demands of the team
  • Working knowledge of personal computers and application
  • Ability to speak, write, and read English required
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensuring that warranty doors, millwork, and hardware are operating safe, secure, and properly
  • Able perform repairs in the field and address customer concerns
  • Utilizes safe work practices in all aspects of the work performed to include vehicle operation, use of hand and power tools, and handling material on the job
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with customers and business associates
  • Quickly respond to customer complaints and concerns
  • Loads work van with materials needed
  • Keep work area clean and well organized
  • Ensure that appropriate paperwork is completed as per company policy
  • Check all paperwork for accuracy
  • Reports to each appointment on-time and perform duties in an efficient, safe, and timely manner
  • Discuss repairs with customer to ensure satisfaction with product
  • Responsible for the care of a company vehicle and driving while representing Parr
  • Aware of safety risks and does due diligence to limit them
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

This position works primarily on the road visiting customers and job sites. The working hours typically fall Monday - Friday between the hours of 7 am and 4 pm with overtime as needed.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to grasp, talk, hear, and operate a computer and keyboard
  • Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 100 pounds and carry objects 50 feet
  • Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Must be able to drive a vehicle when necessary
