Job summary

Jaynes Corporation is seeking a dedicated apprentice in our carpentry/fabrication team. The role operates in a factory setting and involves joining the local apprenticeship program, maintaining safety and clear communication, and following quality control processes.

You will read blueprints and learn construction drawings to support millwork and casework fabrication. The position requires physical lifting (50–100 lbs), travel up to 10%, and full-time, hourly union eligibility.

Qualifications

• Previous woodshop courses and basic tool knowledge helpful.
• Willing to learn commercial casework and millwork fabrication methods.
• Ability and willingness to gain proficient computer skills.
• Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn and retain fabrication techniques and procedures.
• Organizational Skills;

Responsibilities

• Join Carpenters local 1319 Apprenticeship program.
• Maintain a culture of SAFETY, discipline and effective communication.
• Practice operational values and the implementation of the 3-Phases of Quality Control.
• Read and understand blueprints, construction drawings, and specifications in Construction Sets and Work Orders for each job.
• Maintain a clean work environment.
• Assist co-workers.
• Be punctual.
• Attend carpenter apprentice union training program classes - 1 week, paid, every quarter.
• Lift and carry materials weighing 50 to 100 pounds and occasionally more.
