Job summary

Riverhead Building Supply is seeking a Millwork Purchasing Agent to source custom millwork products such as windows and doors, manage inventory, and negotiate with vendors to ensure timely deliveries across our locations. The role emphasizes cost control, accurate purchasing decisions, and strong vendor management.

Knowledge of Marvin Windows and TruStile Doors is a plus; a bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 1–2 years of related experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret specifications, contracts, and construction documents.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1-2 years of purchasing, inventory, or related experience preferred.
• Knowledge of windows, doors, millwork products, and related building materials.
• Strong negotiation, organizational, and communication skills.
• Experience with Marvin Windows, TruStile Doors, or similar products is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Procure custom millwork products, including windows, doors, and related materials.
• Manage inventory levels and review purchase requisitions.
• Negotiate pricing, availability, delivery schedules, and vendor programs.
• Issue purchase orders and ensure timely delivery to customers and RBS locations.
• Build strong vendor relationships and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Support customer needs through accurate, detail-oriented purchasing decisions.
