Job summary

Boise Cascade has an exciting opening for a Millwork Prefinish Specialist. You will construct doors and windows to order in the pre-finish department, including painting or staining, and verify specifications for lengths, angles, and size.

Set up doors machinery, transport materials, and perform related duties with strict safety adherence. Applicants should have a HS Diploma or GED (or two years equivalent experience); technical certification or an associates degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma, GED or two years equivalent work experience.
• Role may require technical certification, or associates degree.
• Must understand and communicate safety and other work related instructions.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for construction of doors and windows made to order, in pre-finish department, to include painting and/or staining.
• Check product and raw material specifications (lengths, angles, size).
• Set up door machinery and equipment to specifications.
• Transport raw materials and finished products to and from machinery, equipment and storage area.
• Apply and understand mathematical calculations and concepts involving fractions, decimals, percentages, etc.
• Follow Boise Cascade safety programs and ensure compliance of OSHA regulation.
• May train others and ensure work is complete and built to order specifications.
• May be responsible for raw materials and finished goods inventory, and materials order replenishment.
• Demonstrate strong commitment to safety, quality, environmental awareness, and continuous process improvement.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
